Last year, my father, a Colorado College graduate, made the mistake of telling me he had written an ill-received humor column for The Catalyst in 1974. I dug up the old column with great anticipation, chomping at the bit to see my father in all of his full-blown eighteen-year-old awkwardness. I was not disappointed. In the January 1975 edition of his Sticklers column  my dad teamed up with a hallmate to write “College’s Creation: Same Song, New Beat”—a creation myth of the Colorado College written “Old Testament style.”
